Nelly‘s Attorney Slams Police Over Casino Arrest, Accuses Targeted Ecstasy Possession

Nelly‘s attorney, Scott Rosenblum, has come out swinging against the police after the rapper was arrested at a Texas casino for allegedly possessing ecstasy and other drugs. Rosenblum claims the arrest was targeted and that the police had no probable cause to search Nelly‘s tour bus.

Targeted Arrest

Rosenblum told TMZ that the police had been following Nelly for weeks before the arrest, and that they had no reason to suspect the rapper of any wrongdoing. He also claims that the police only searched Nelly‘s bus because they knew who he was, and that they would not have done so if it were anyone else.

Lack of Probable Cause

Rosenblum also argues that the police did not have probable cause to search the bus. He says that the police only found a small amount of ecstasy and other drugs in a duffel bag that belonged to one of Nelly‘s entourage members, and that there was no evidence linking the drugs to the rapper himself.

Defending Nelly‘s Character

Rosenblum has also come to Nelly‘s defense, saying that the rapper is a good person who has been wrongly accused. He points out that Nelly has been involved in numerous charitable activities, including working with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

Legal Consequences

If convicted, Nelly could face up to 10 years in prison for the drug charges. Rosenblum says that he is confident that Nelly will be exonerated, and that the case will ultimately be dismissed.
