Man Utd close in on Bayern Munich right back Noussair Mazraoui

Manchester United are interested in signing Ajax right-back Noussair Mazraoui, according to reports. However, they may face competition for the 24-year-old defender from West Ham and Bayern Munich.

Mazraoui has been a key player for Ajax since breaking into the first team in 2018, making over 100 appearances for the Dutch giants. He is known for his attacking prowess down the right flank, having contributed 13 goals and seven assists in all competitions.

Ten Hag’s influence: Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag knows Mazraoui well from their time together at Ajax, where he was the club’s director of football before taking over as manager. Ten Hag sees Mazraoui as a key player to strengthen his United side and is keen to bring him to Old Trafford.

Competition from West Ham: However, West Ham are also interested in signing Mazraoui and have been monitoring his progress for some time. The Hammers see the right-back as an ideal replacement for Vladimir Coufal, who may leave the club in the summer.

Bayern Munich interest: Bayern Munich are another team keeping tabs on Mazraoui, with the German giants looking to strengthen their squad ahead of next season. They believe the Moroccan international would be a great addition to their backline.

Manchester United will have to move quickly to secure Mazraoui’s signature, as West Ham and Bayern Munich are both prepared to make a strong bid for his services.
