'Facts of Life' revival was ruined by 1 'greedy' co-star, Mindy Cohn claims. The drama explained.

According to Facts of Life alumna Mindy Cohn, the revival of the beloved sitcom was doomed from the start due to one greedy co-star. In an interview with The Daily Dish, Cohn claimed that the show’s potential reunion was halted by a certain cast member who refused to participate unless they received an unreasonable amount of money and creative control.

Cohn, who played Natalie Rugged on the classic sitcom, revealed that the proposed revival had been in the works for some time, but ultimately fell through due to the unnamed co-star’s demands. She explained: “The reason we didn’t do it was because one person was being super greedy and wanted a lot of money and creative control. And we’re all like, ‘Come on, let’s just have fun and do this thing!’

Cohn went on to say that she and the other original cast members were willing to participate in the revival for the sake of nostalgia and fan love, but that one co-star’s refusal to compromise ultimately killed the project.

Although Cohn didn’t reveal the identity of the greedy co-star, fans are speculating that it might be Kim Fields, who played Tootie Ramsey on the show. However, Fields has neither confirmed nor denied the allegations, and Cohn herself remained tight-lipped about the matter.

The Facts of Life originally aired from 1979 to 1988 and followed the lives of a group of young women living at a boarding school. The show became a cultural phenomenon and launched the careers of its young cast members, including Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, who tragically passed away in 2002.

Despite the revival’s failure, Cohn remains optimistic about future projects with her former co-stars. She expressed: “I think we’ll do something together again, maybe even a movie or something. We’re all very close and we love each other.'”
