Manchester United have reportedly agreed a £30million deal to sign Manchester City starlet Brahim Diaz, according to the Manchester Evening News. The 19-year-old Spaniard has been a target for the Red Devils since the summer, but City were determined to keep him at the Etihad Stadium. However, the Premier League champions have now accepted United’s offer for the attacking midfielder, who has made just six appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side this season. Diaz, who joined City from Malaga in 2013, has been unable to break into the first team at the Etihad, with the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva, and Phil Foden ahead of him in the pecking order. United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to bolster his midfield options, particularly with Paul Pogba‘s future at Old Trafford uncertain. The French World Cup winner has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, and Solskjaer is keen to bring in a replacement. Diaz, who has been capped at Under-21 level for Spain, is highly-rated by City coaches and has been tipped for a big future in the game. He made his debut for the club in September 2016, and has since made 15 appearances, scoring twice. The Spaniard’s contract at City expires in the summer, and the Premier League champions were keen to cash in on him rather than lose him for nothing. United are also keen to strengthen their defence, with Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly a top target. The Senegal international has been in outstanding form for the Serie A side, and United are willing to pay up to £90million to land him. United are also keeping tabs on West Ham‘s Declan Rice, who has been outstanding for the Hammers this season. The England Under-21 international has been valued at £50million by the Londoners, and United are keen to bring him to Old Trafford. United are also keen to strengthen their attack, with Inter Milan‘s Mauro Icardi a top target. The Argentine striker has fallen out with Inter coach Luciano Spalletti, and is keen to leave the San Siro. United are willing to pay up to £90million to land the 25-year-old, who has scored 15 goals in 20 appearances for the Serie A side this season.
