Based on the Broadway musical, ‘Rock of Ages‘ tells the story of a small-town girl named Sherrie (Hough) who moves to Los Angeles to chase her dreams of becoming a singer. She meets Drew (Boneta), a young musician who works at the Sunset Strip‘s legendary Bourbon Room, and the two fall in love. The film features hits from ’80s bands like Journey, Poison, REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, Twisted Sister, Night Ranger, Warrant, Whitesnake, Bon Jovi, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Blondie, and more.

Paul Giamatti, who starred in ‘Billions’ and ‘American Splendor,’ will play Paul Gill, a sleazy manager who works for Stacee Jaxx. Catherine Zeta-Jones, who starred in ‘Chicago’ and ‘Ocean’s Twelve,’ will play Patricia Whitmore, the wife of the mayor of Los Angeles and a conservative activist who wants to shut down the Bourbon Room. Malin Akerman, who starred in ‘Watchmen’ and ‘The Proposal,’ will play Constance Sack, a Rolling Stone reporter who interviews Stacee Jaxx. Bryan Cranston, who starred in ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Trumbo,’ will play Mike Whitmore, the mayor of Los Angeles and Patricia’s husband. Russell Brand, who starred in ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ and ‘Despicable Me,’ will play Lonny, Dennis Dupree’s right-hand man and a narrator of the film.
