Akshay Kumar‘s Surprise Improvisation on Set

Director Amar Kaushik, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Stree 2, has revealed that Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar improvised on the set during his cameo scene.

The Idea Behind the Scene

Speaking to Times of India, Kaushik shared that the idea of Akshay sitting on Abhishek Banerjee‘s lap was entirely the actor’s idea. He said, ‘I remember when we were rehearsing the scene, Akshay sir suggested, ‘Why don’t I sit on Abhishek’s lap?’ I was taken aback but I loved the idea. It added a lot of humor to the scene.’

Akshay’s Improvisation

Kaushik further added, ‘He (Akshay) improvised a lot during the shoot. He would often come up with something and we would incorporate it into the scene. He’s a brilliant actor and a great sport.’ The director also praised Akshay for his professionalism and dedication towards the project.

Working with Akshay

When asked about his experience working with Akshay, Kaushik said, ‘It was an absolute pleasure working with him. He’s a thorough professional and very dedicated. He would reach the set before time and would be ready for the shot. He’s very disciplined and that’s something I admire about him.’

Stree 2

Stree 2, which is a sequel to the 2018 horror-comedy Stree, features Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, and Aparshakti Khurana in key roles. The film is set to release in 2023.
