Journey‘s Schon, Cain Reflect on Band’s Legacy, Upcoming Concerts

Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain, the legendary guitarists of Journey, recently sat down to discuss the band’s illustrious career and their upcoming concerts. The band, known for hits like ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ and ‘Any Way You Want It,’ has been a staple in the rock music industry for decades.

A Legacy of Rock

Formed in 1973, Journey has seen its fair share of ups and downs. Despite numerous lineup changes, the band has consistently produced chart-topping hits and sold-out tours. Schon and Cain, who have been with the band since its inception, have been instrumental in shaping Journey‘s sound and style.

‘We’ve been fortunate enough to have had an incredible career,’ said Schon. ‘We’ve seen so many bands come and go, but we’ve managed to stay relevant and continue making music that people love.’

Upcoming Concerts

Journey is set to embark on a series of concerts this year, including a co-headlining tour with Def Leppard. The tour, which kicks off in May, will see the bands performing in over 50 cities across North America.

‘We’re really excited about the upcoming tour,’ said Cain. ‘Def Leppard is a great band, and we can’t wait to share the stage with them. It’s going to be a fantastic show for the fans.’

Enduring Popularity

Despite being in the music industry for over four decades, Journey‘s music remains incredibly popular. Their songs continue to dominate rock radio stations, and their albums continue to sell millions of copies worldwide.

‘I think the reason our music has stood the test of time is because it’s honest and comes from the heart,’ said Schon. ‘We’ve never tried to follow trends or fit into a certain mold. We’ve always just made music that we love, and I think that’s what resonates with the fans.’

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

In 2017, Journey was finally inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, an honor that Schon and Cain say they are still in disbelief over.

‘It’s an incredible feeling to know that our music has made such an impact on the industry,’ said Cain. ‘We’re truly humbled by the recognition.’

Looking to the Future

As Journey continues to tour and make music, Schon and Cain say they have no plans to slow down anytime soon.

‘We love what we do, and as long as the fans continue to support us, we’ll keep making music and performing,’ said Schon. ‘It’s a dream come true to be able to do what we love for a living.’
