Actor Josh Hartnett has opened up about why he left the film industry, revealing that being stalked by fans was a major factor in his decision. In an interview with The Guardian, Hartnett shared that he experienced unwanted attention from admirers who would show up at his home or hotel rooms, causing him to feel uneasy and anxious. ‘I had people showing up at my house, at my hotel, just wanting to be around me,’ Hartnett explained. ‘It was a very unhealthy dynamic.’ The actor also mentioned that the constant scrutiny took a toll on his mental health, leading him to reevaluate his priorities in life. Hartnett’s decision to step away from Hollywood came after his 2006 film ‘Black Knight’ underperformed at the box office, which he believes contributed to the unwanted attention. He has since focused on other pursuits, including writing and producing. In a candid interview, Hartnett expressed gratitude for the career he had in the entertainment industry but acknowledged that it was time for him to move on. ‘I’m very grateful for what I did,’ Hartnett said. ‘But at some point, you have to prioritize your own well-being.’
