‘Deadpool’ star Ryan Reynolds shares what keeps him and Blake Lively sane while raising four kids under 10

Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds is sharing the secret to keeping him and wife Blake Lively sane while raising their four kids under the age of 10.

In an interview with The New York Times, Reynolds, 45, opened up about the chaos that comes with having a large family. He joked that it’s like ‘trying to herd cats’ and admitted that he and Lively, 34, have developed strategies to keep their sanity intact.

One key tactic is taking advantage of the couple’s respective careers to get some alone time. Reynolds said, ‘We both work in this weird way where we can disappear for a few hours.’ He explained that they often schedule solo activities or meetings during the day while the kids are at school, allowing them to recharge.

Another strategy is prioritizing quality time with the family. Reynolds emphasized the importance of ‘being present’ and making memories with their children.

The actor also praised Lively for being an ‘amazing mom.’ He credited her ability to stay organized and keep everything running smoothly, saying, ‘She’s a superhero, man. I don’t know how she does it.’

Reynolds and Lively, who met on the set of Green Lantern in 2011, are parents to daughters James Reynolds, 8, Inez Reynolds, 6, and two-year-old twins Heinz and Holt.

The couple has been open about the challenges of raising a large family, including dealing with tantrums and navigating parenting styles. However, it’s clear that they’re committed to making it work and have found ways to keep their sanity intact.

As Reynolds put it, ‘We’re just trying to survive.’
