Sinead O'Connor's cause of death disclosed by her family

The family of Sinead O’Connor has revealed the cause of the singer-songwriter’s death, which occurred on January 14. According to a statement released by her brother Sean O’Connor, Sinead died from natural causes, specifically cardiopulmonary arrest due to a pulmonary embolism. This was confirmed after an autopsy was conducted and subsequent investigations were carried out.

Sinead’s family expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of support they received following her passing, saying that it has been ‘overwhelming’ and ‘heartwarming’. They also thanked everyone who had taken the time to share their favorite memories or songs by Sinead on social media, stating that these ‘have brought us comfort’ in this difficult time.

As previously reported, Sinead O’Connor was found unresponsive at her son’s home in Franconiaville, Wisconsin, and despite attempts to revive her, she was pronounced dead. The singer-songwriter was 47 years old at the time of her passing.
