Man United close in on next summer signing but one star must leave first

Manchester United are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Bayern Munich right-back Noussair Mazraoui, with the 22-year-old Moroccan international being eyed as a potential alternative to Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The Red Devils have been long-time admirers of Wan-Bissaka and had a bid rejected for him in January. However, with the Eagles holding out for a higher fee, United are looking at other options to strengthen their right-back position. Mazraoui has impressed in his debut season with Bayern Munich, making 26 appearances and scoring three goals. His performances have not gone unnoticed, with several top European clubs monitoring his progress. The Morocco international has two years remaining on his current deal and could be available for around £20 million. United are keen to sign a player who can provide competition for Wan-Bissaka, as well as offer something different to the Palace full-back’s attacking flair. Mazraoui is known for his defensive solidity and ability to support his team’s attack with his pace and crossing ability.
