Man Utd move closer to signing Bayern Munich defender Noussair Mazraoui

Manchester United are targeting Bayern Munich right-back Noussair Mazraoui, according to reports. The Red Devils are keen to bolster their defence and have identified the Moroccan international as a top target. However, they may face competition from West Ham, who are also interested in signing the 24-year-old. Mazraoui has been impressing for Bayern Munich this season, making 15 starts in the Bundesliga and scoring one goal. He has also featured prominently for Morocco at international level, starting all three matches at the Africa Cup of Nations. United have a reputation for targeting top young talent, and Mazraoui fits the bill. They are likely to face stiff competition from other Premier League clubs, however, as West Ham look to bolster their own backline following the departure of Ryan Fredericks. The Hammers have been linked with several right-backs this summer, including Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo and Chelsea’s Reece James. United will need to move quickly if they are to secure Mazraoui’s signature, as other clubs may be willing to meet Bayern Munich’s reported £40 million asking price. The Red Devils have a strong squad but are still looking to add depth and quality in certain positions. Mazraoui would be a welcome addition to the team, providing competition for current right-back Diogo Dalot and allowing manager Erik ten Hag to rotate his options.
