Gwyneth Paltrow, who played Pepper Potts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), has reacted to the news that Robert Downey Jr. is set to return as a baddie in the franchise.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Paltrow expressed her excitement about Downey’s return, saying: ‘I’m thrilled! I think he’s one of the most talented actors out there.’ She also praised his versatility, stating that ‘he can play any role and make it amazing.’

Paltrow also shared her thoughts on Doctor Doom, saying that she thinks he’ll bring a unique dynamic to the franchise. ‘I think he’ll be fantastic as Doctor Doom,’ she said. ‘He’s got that incredible sense of humor and intelligence, and I think he’ll really bring it to life.’

The news of Downey’s return was announced earlier this week, with reports suggesting that he will play the villainous Doctor Doom in a forthcoming MCU film.

It remains to be seen whether Paltrow will also make an appearance in the new film. However, if her comments are anything to go by, she seems open to the possibility.
