Gwyneth Paltrow Reacts to ‘Iron Man’ Co-Star Robert Downey Jr.’s Shocking Marvel Return as Doctor Doom: ‘I Don’t Get It, Are You a Baddie Now?’

Gwyneth Paltrow and Robert Downey Jr. are set to reprise their roles as Betty Ross and Tony Stark, respectively, in the upcoming Marvel movie, Doctor Doom.

The film is being directed by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and will be released on July 19, 2024.

Paltrow played the role of Betty Ross, a scientist and love interest for Bruce Banner (played by Edward Norton) in The Incredible Hulk (2008). She also appeared as Pepper Potts, Tony Stark’s assistant, in Iron Man (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010), and Avengers Assemble (2012).

Downey Jr. has been the face of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, playing Tony Stark/Iron Man in multiple films including the Iron Man franchise, The Avengers series, Captain America: Civil War (2016), and Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017).

The plot for Doctor Doom has not been officially released, but it is expected to follow the story of Victor von Doom, a villainous genius who seeks revenge against the world that wronged him.

Paltrow and Downey Jr.’s involvement in the film is a significant development as they are both well-known characters within the Marvel universe. Their return will likely generate excitement among fans and further solidify the Doctor Doom movie as an eagerly anticipated event.
