Italian media outlet Crsport is reporting that AC Milan are on the verge of finalizing a deal for 22-year-old centre-back Nedim Pavlovic from Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb. The report suggests that the Rossoneri are close to agreeing a fee of around €2 million (approximately £1.7m) to sign the highly-rated defender.

Pavlovic has been in impressive form for Dinamo Zagreb this season, making 14 appearances and scoring one goal. He is known for his pace, power and aerial ability, and has attracted interest from several European clubs.

The deal would be a shrewd piece of business for Milan, who have struggled at the back this season. Pavlovic’s arrival could provide some much-needed competition for places in the Rossoneri’s defence.
