Speak No Evil SDCC reactions praise McAvoy, say it holds its own against original

At San Diego Comic-Con, the latest installment in the Conjuring Universe, Speak No Evil, received a standing ovation from attendees. The film is a sequel to 2013’s Insidious and stars Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as Ed and Lorraine Warren. Speaking at the panel, actor Michael Fassbender praised the new film for holding its own against the original. ‘It’s incredibly well-made,’ he said. ‘It’s a great continuation of what they started.’ Fassbender also complimented the cast, saying that they ‘did an amazing job.’ Other attendees praised the film as well, with one fan calling it ‘a masterclass in building tension.’ The Conjuring Universe is known for its chilling horror and memorable characters. With Speak No Evil, fans can expect more of the same. The film will be released on July 15th.
