As part of our ongoing series, Gunnersaurus and defender Carl Jenkinson caught up with young right-back Ignasi Miquel during the Club’s pre-season tour in Los Angeles. Here’s what he had to say about his first-ever taste of touring life…

“It was amazing! The whole experience has been incredible. To be honest, I was a bit nervous at first – it’s all so different from playing in front of 60,000 people at the Emirates. But everyone’s been so welcoming and supportive.

One of the best bits for me was the training sessions. We’ve been working really hard and the coaching staff have given us some great drills to work on our skills. I’m loving it!

The team spirit has been fantastic too. Everyone gets along, and we all have a good laugh together. Even when we’re not playing well, everyone’s got each other’s backs.

And of course, the fans have been fantastic! It’s great to see how many people are supporting us out here – it gives you an extra boost knowing they’re behind you.

We’ve had some really good sessions on the pitch and I think we’re all looking forward to the next game. Let’s hope we can keep this form going!
