London: Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle may have stepped back from their royal duties last year, but they are unlikely to return to the UK for good, sources close to the couple claim. The Duke of Sussex, who was born into royalty, has grown fond of the laid-back lifestyle in Canada where he and Meghan have been living with their son Archie since leaving the British Royal Family. ‘He loves the freedom and anonymity that comes with living in North America,’ a source told Britain’s Daily Mail. Harry’s love for the Canadian wilderness and his ability to blend in without being recognized as a royal are also factors that make him hesitant to return to the UK, according to insiders. Meghan Markle, too, has grown fond of their life abroad and is reportedly keen on continuing her charity work without the scrutiny that comes with being part of the British Royal Family. ‘Meghan is a free spirit who loves doing things her own way,’ another source said. The couple’s decision not to return to the UK for good could mean Archie will spend most of his childhood in North America, and Harry may never be able to fully reconcile his royal past with his new life abroad.
