Comic-Con Surprise: Marvel Screens ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ for Fans

San Diego, CA – Marvel Studios surprised fans at San Diego Comic-Con today with a sizzle reel teaser that brings together two of its most popular characters: Ryan Reynolds’ merc with a mouth, Deadpool, and Hugh Jackman’s iconic X-Men character, Wolverine.

The 90-second clip features both characters in all their glory, with Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) cracking jokes and making wisecracks as he fights alongside Wolverine (Hugh Jackman). The scene takes place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, with the two heroes teaming up to take down a group of robotic villains.

The teaser ends with the release date for the untitled Deadpool 3 movie, which is set to hit theaters on November 8, 2024. While the title and plot details have not been revealed yet, it seems like the new film will continue the adventures of Wade Wilson’s alter ego, perhaps teaming up with other Marvel characters.

The surprise reveal sent the crowd at Hall H into a frenzy, with fans cheering and chanting for more. Reynolds, Jackman, and director Shawn Levy were also in attendance to answer questions and give away some Easter eggs from the footage shown.

This marks the first time that Deadpool and Wolverine have appeared together on screen since the 2018 film Logan, which saw Hugh Jackman’s iconic character say goodbye to the franchise. The surprise reunion has left fans wondering if this is just a one-off appearance or if we’ll see more of these characters teaming up in future films.

As for what’s next for Marvel, the studio is gearing up for a busy slate of films and TV shows that will introduce new characters and continue the adventures of beloved franchises. With the surprise reveal at Comic-Con, fans are now even more excited to see what’s in store for these two iconic characters.
