Bill Ward Addresses Black Sabbath Reunion Show Speculation

Rumors of a Black Sabbath reunion have been circulating in recent weeks, and the drummer behind some of the band’s most iconic songs is weighing in. Bill Ward, who played drums for Black Sabbath from 1969 to 1980 and again from 1994 to 1997, told MetalSucks that while he hasn’t been approached about a reunion, he’d be open to it under certain conditions.

‘I think the fans would love it,’ Ward said. ‘I think there’s still so much music in us, and I think we could do something really special if we could get our ducks in a row.’ When asked what those conditions might be, Ward cited his desire for the band to rehearse and prepare thoroughly before taking the stage.

‘I don’t want to just go out there and play some shows,’ he said. ‘I want us to rehearse and make sure we’re doing it right. I think that’s what would make it special, is if we could get together and really work on this stuff.’ Ward also emphasized the importance of having Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler all on board for any reunion.
