Charli XCX, Nia Archives and Barry Can't Swim among artists shortlisted for 2024 Mercury Prize

The shortlist for the 2024 Hyundai Mercury Prize has been announced, with 12 albums vying for the top honor. Among the nominees are Charli XCX for her album ‘Crash’, Nia Archives for her debut LP ‘Sunlight’, and Barry Cant for his record ‘Can’t Swim’. The other nominees include Nova Twins, Lola Young, The Mysterines, Alfie Templeman, Sam Tompkins, Lava La Rue, and Self Esteem. The winner will be announced at a ceremony in London on September 15. The Mercury Prize is one of the UK’s most prestigious music awards, recognizing outstanding albums from British and Irish artists.
