Rock legends Pixies have announced their new album, ‘The Night the Zombies Came’, out on April 28th. To celebrate the news, they’ve shared a music video for the track ‘Chicken-Pooping Zombie’, which features, well, a chicken-pooping zombie. The song is a garage-rock romp with Joey Santiago’s signature guitar work and Black Francis’ unmistakable vocals.

The album marks Pixies’ first new material since 2016’s ‘Head Carrier’. It was produced by Tom Dalgety (Royal Blood, Ghost) and recorded at Dream Valve Studios in Los Angeles. The album’s title is a nod to the band’s love of B-movies and campy culture.

The music video for ‘Chicken-Pooping Zombie’ shows a zombie roaming through a city, leaving a trail of chicken poop in its wake. It’s a fittingly bizarre visual accompaniment to the song’s offbeat lyrics.
