The album is said to be inspired by the band’s love of Bollywood films and Indian culture. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Black Francis (Frankie Edward) explained that the album was born out of his fascination with Indian cinema. He stated, ‘I got hooked on Bollywood movies… I loved the music, the dance, the drama.’ The Pixies have been a staple in the indie rock scene since their formation in the 1980s and are known for hits like ‘Where Is My Mind?’ and ‘Debaser’. With ‘Hindi Love’, they’re looking to bring some international flair to their sound. Fans can expect a mix of punk-infused garage rock and lush, atmospheric soundscapes on this new release.
